COMMING EVENTS AT PRINCE EDWARD YACHT CLUB

 WEDNESDAY EVENINGS TALKS:

Prince Edward Yacht Club invites you to attend the a series of boat-related talks that will take place on a few Wednesday evenings. The talks are open to everyone and promise to be both educational and entertaining.
Topics include stories of long distance cruising, climate change and the environment in which we boat in, tips on racing, boating safety and more.

Time: 6:30 to 8 PM
Location: PEYC, 30 Fairfield St,  Picton
Bar open, snacks available.
Admission is free.
Donations are welcome and will go directly to the PEYC Junior Sailing Camp

 

DARTS:
Thursday nights at 7pm, Starting on January 4th, all are welcome

 EUCHRE NIGHTS:
Saturday, January 6thFebruary 10th (date changed from the 3rd);  March 3rd and April 7th .
7pm start, please bring a snack to share

 

It’s going to be a great party to celebrate the Spring Solstice, Friday March 23rd  at PEYC.

Decorate a Hat for the Spring Hat Contest – Dave Lanning is providing hats, ribbons and flowers so you can put your creative self to work.  Bring a glue gun & glue (if you have one), and your own decorations to make your hat unique.
Starting at 4 pm (til 5:30), decorate a hat for the contest.  Judging just before 6.

Starting at 6, the Long Reach band will play for an hour or so.  Donations being accepted for Hospice Prince Edward.
Don’t forget to bring your favourite hors d’oeuvres to share.

BOWLING – APRIL 14th
Bowling – Saturday April 14th, Bus leaves PEYC at 1 pm, bowling from 2 – 4pm at Quinte Bowl in Belleville.  $22.60 (incl HST) for bowling & bus (includes shoes); $5.65 for the bus only if you just want to watch.
Sign up required– Deadline Saturday April 7th.  There is a minimum number so if there are not enough people signed up by April 7th, this event will be cancelled.

Wednesday Talk – April 18th
THE DAY THE ROYAL ARTILLERY CAME TO TOWN – Cruising Lake Ontario in 1863
Historian Marc Seguin presents a lively, illustrated talk based on his new book, “The Cruise of the Breeze: The Journal, Art and Life of a Victorian Soldier in Canada”, connecting yachting on Lake Ontario, the American Civil War, watercolour painting in Canada and a visit to The County in 1863.
When: Wednesday, April 18, 6:30 to 8 PM
Where: Prince Edward Yacht Club, 30 Fairfield St, Picton
Bar open, free snacks.
Everyone welcome, free admission. Donations go directly to the PEYC Junior Sailing School.
